You can make a block from any single or combination of multiple sketch entities. Saving each block individually, provides extensive design flexibility.
To make blocks:
Create a sketch.

Click Make Block
(Block toolbar) or Tools,
Block, Make.
Block tools are also available
if you right-click Block
in the FeatureManager design tree.
Select the sketch entities you want to make as a block for Block Entities.

Click
.
Repeat steps 2-4 for each of the remaining sketch entities.

To apply color to each block, right-click
the Block
in the
FeatureManager design tree, and select Appearance, Color. If you save the block, the color
is saved as part of the .sldblk
file.
With the sketch in edit mode, add the necessary relations.
Save the part.
When you make a block you
can specify an Insertion
Point that you use when you insert the block.
Nested blocks are blocks within blocks that include the same capabilities as regular blocks. You can create nested blocks while editing an existing block and:
Sketching new entities
Selecting existing entities
To make nested blocks:
Right-click a Block
in the FeatureManager
design tree and select Edit Block.

Sketch or select entities you want to add as nested blocks to the Block you are editing.

Add any required relations.
Click Make
Block
(Block toolbar) or Tools,
Blocks, Make
to list the sketch entities in the PropertyManager under Block
Entities.
Click
, then Rebuild
, and note the nested blocks in the FeatureManager design
tree.

To save blocks:
Select the block and click Save
Block
(Block toolbar) or Tools,
Block, Save.
