The Import Electrical Data PropertyManager appears when you import electrical connection and component data from an Excel spreadsheet called a from-to list. The PropertyManager controls these properties:
From-to list file. Specify the Excel file to import.
Start a new assembly. Import the from-to data into a new route sub-assembly.
Use existing assembly. Import the from-to data into an existing route sub-assembly.
Overwrite data. Overwrite the existing from-to data in the route sub-assembly.
Insert data. Add new data to the existing data.
Component library file. Specify the component library .xml file.
Cable/Wire library file. Specify the cable library .xml file.
Type the header text from the Excel file into the corresponding header definition field. For example, if you use PartNo as the header for the part number column in the Excel file, then type PartNo in Part number.
You can type multiple Excel headers, separated
by semi-colons (no spaces), in a header definition field. For example,
if you sometimes import an Excel file with a header PartNo,
and at other times an Excel file with a header PN,
then type PartNo;PN in Part
number. The next time you import an Excel file, both entries appear
and are recognized by the software.
