Create or modify equations in the Add Equation and Edit Equation dialog boxes.
To create an equation:
To display
the Add Equation dialog box, double-click
a dimension that you want to be driven by an equation, then in the Modify dialog box, click
and select Add Equation.
The Add Equation dialog box
appears. The selected dimension and an equal sign (=)
appear in the equation box.
You can also display the Add
Equation dialog box by opening the Equations dialog
box, then clicking Add.
Populate the equation box. See Entering Equations.
Click OK.
The equation and its solution appear in the Equations
dialog box.
Click OK to close the Equations dialog box.
Click Rebuild
(Standard toolbar) or Edit,
Rebuild to update the model.
This results in the following:
All equations are solved before the geometry regenerates.
The value for the dimension updates in the graphics area.
appears with the dimension to indicate that it is driven
by an equation.
The
Equations
folder
appears in the FeatureManager design tree.
To edit an equation:
If a dimension is driven by an equation,
appears
with the dimension in the graphics area.
To display
the Edit Equation dialog box,
double-click a dimension that is driven by an equation, then in the Modify dialog box, click
and select Edit Equation.
The Edit Equation dialog box
appears. The equation appears in the equation box.
You can also display the Edit
Equation dialog box by opening the Equations dialog
box, then clicking Edit.
Make changes to the equation. See Entering Equations.
Click OK.
The equation and its solution update in the Equations
dialog box.
Click OK to close the Equations dialog box.
Click Rebuild
(Standard toolbar)
or Edit, Rebuild
to update the model.
