Appearance callouts display the colors and textures of the face, feature, body, and part under the item selected and are a shortcut to editing colors and textures.

You can determine the hierarchy of colors and textures from the callout. For example, if a color is specified for the face, that color takes precedence over the color for the feature, body, or part. If no color is specified for the face, the color of the feature is used; if no color is specified for the feature, the color of the body is used; and so on. The same hierarchy applies to the textures.
In assemblies, component colors and textures are displayed.
To display appearance callouts:
Click View, Appearance Callouts.
Select a face in the model.
You can also right-click a
feature, body, or part in the FeatureManager design tree, or an entity
in the graphics area, and select Appearance,
Appearance Callout. The callout
displays the color and text for the specified level and any higher levels.
For example, if you select the appearance callout for the part, only the
part color and texture are displayed; if you select a body, the body and
part colors and textures are displayed.
The appearance callout disappears when you click anywhere except on the model or start a command.
To edit a color or texture:
Click a square in the callout.
The Color and Optics or Texture PropertyManager opens.
