Set options for tables in the active drawing document.

To set options for tables:

  1. Click Tools, Options, Document Properties, Tables.

  2. Choose from the following options, then click OK.

Hole Table

Origin indicator . Specify the appearance of the indicator of the origin from which the software calculates hole positions by selecting a standard.

Standard. Select a specific standard or Per Standard (the standard set in Detailing Options).

Tag angle/offset from profile center. Specify the position from the hole profile center of the tag that the software generates to identify each hole.

Alpha/numerical control. Specify whether the hole tag is alphabetic or numeric.

This option is overridden by Alpha/Numerical Control in the Hole Table PropertyManager.

Scheme.

This option is overridden by Scheme in the Hole Table PropertyManager.

Location precision. The precision at which the X and Y locations of the holes are displayed.

Show hole centers. An asterisk identifies the center of each hole. This option is overridden by Hide hole centers in the Hole Table PropertyManager.

Automatic update of hole table. The table data updates when the model changes.

Revision Table

Symbol shapes. Select from a circle, square, triangle, or hexagon for the revision symbol.

Alpha/numerical control. Specify whether the revision is alphabetic or numeric. If you switch from one to the other, you can change the revisions already in the table, or you can leave them unchanged and continue with future revisions in the new format. Any revision text you edit remains unchanged by automatic operations.

Revision driven from PDMWorks Workgroup. This appears if you use PDMWorks Workgroup and your vault administrator set revision table options within PDMWorks Workgroup. PDMWorks Workgroup specifies the rules for revision, number of rows, and revision order. When Revision driven from PDMWorks Workgroup is visible, all options in Alpha/Numerical Control are unavailable.

Multiple sheet style. Controls revision tables in drawings with multiple sheets:

If you change the Multiple sheet style options in a drawing, the following scenarios apply:

  • If no sheets contain a revision table, or if only one sheet contains a revision table, you can change the option with no effect on the other sheets.

  • If revision tables exist on multiple sheets:

    • If the setting is See Sheet 1 and you change it to Linked or Independent, all revision tables are deleted except for the parent table, regardless of which sheet is active.

    • If the setting is Independent and you change it to See Sheet 1 or Linked, all revision tables are deleted except for the one on the active sheet.

    • If the setting is Linked and you change it to See Sheet 1, all revision tables are deleted except for the one on the active sheet. This table becomes the parent.

    • If the setting is Linked and you change it to Independent, all revision tables are left unchanged, but are unlinked.

Bill of Materials Table

Zero quantity. Select whether to display zero quantities with a dash (-) or a zero (0), or to leave the cell blank.

Missing component.

Don't add "QTY" next to configuration name. Eliminates the word, QTY, that appears in the configuration column.

You must select this option prior to inserting a BOM. If you select it after a BOM exists, the option has no effect.

Don't copy QTY column name from template. If you saved a BOM template with a user-defined name for the QTY. (quantity) column header, this option does not use the name you specified. Instead, the BOM uses the configuration name for the column header, such as <configuration_name>/QTY.

Restrict top level only BOMs to one configuration. Limits BOMs designated as Top level only to one configuration. If you change the configuration in the BOM, the label for the quantity column remains unchanged.

If you select this option after creating a multi-configuration BOM, the option has no effect and the BOM retains all configurations.
