To add explode lines, use an Explode Line Sketch, which is a type of 3D sketch that you add to an exploded view in an assembly.
To insert an explode line sketch:
Create an exploded view in an assembly.
Click Explode Line Sketch
(Assembly toolbar) or Insert,
Explode Line Sketch.
The Route Line PropertyManager appears.
Add explode lines as needed using Route Line
and Jog
Sketch Line
(Explode Sketch toolbar). The lines
appear in phantom font.
Add additional lines using the 3D sketch tools, if needed. All lines appear in phantom font.
Close the sketch.
The sketch appears in the ConfigurationManager under ExplView<n>.
To edit an explode line sketch:
In the ConfigurationManager, click
to expand ExplView<n>.
Right-click 3DExplode<n>, and select Edit Sketch.
Edit the sketch as you would for any 3D sketch, or add more explode lines.
Close the sketch.
