You can animate visual properties at any point during the animation.
For example, you can start to change the view from Shaded
to Wireframe
when the component starts to move. You can also animate
visual properties without animating component movement.
You can animate the visual properties of assembly components, including:
Hide and show
Transparency
Appearance
You can animate the display of single or multiple components, and combine
different display options within the same or different assembly components.
When you click Play
on the Animation toolbar, the visual properties for those
components change as the animation progresses.
To animate visual properties:
Right-click Orientation and Camera Views on the Animator FeatureManager design tree, and select Disable View Key Creation.
This enables you to use tools
such as Rotate
and
Pan
on the View
toolbar, without including the model orientation changes as part of the
animation.
Drag the timebar to set an ending point.
On the Animator FeatureManager design tree, right-click the component you want to affect, and select one of the following:
Hide
![]()
Change
Transparency
. Add transparency to the component.
If transparent, select Change Transparency
to remove transparency.
Component Display. Change how a component displays. Select from SolidWorks display options.
Appearance.
Select Color
, Texture
, Appearance
Callouts, or Materials
to modify these properties.
Click Play
from start
to view the animation.
You can also control sequence timing
within the animation.
