To see an example of DXF or DWG import errors and warnings:
Open a DXF or DWG file that contains entities that cause import errors.
In the DXF/DWG Import Wizard, click Finish.
The translator imports the file into SolidWorks. Because the file contains entities that cause import errors, the Summary of DXF/DWG Import Errors and Warnings dialog box appears with the relevant error messages listed in summary format.
Click any of the following:
Open Report. Generates an *.err text file containing details of the import errors. The file is located in the same directory as the DXF file and contains the same information shown as Details.
Details. Displays details of the import errors. This contains the same information as Open Report.
Summary. Displays a summary of the import errors.
Click Close.
