Creating an Optimization Study

To create an optimization study:

  1. In the COSMOS AnalysisManager, right-click the part or assembly icon and select Study.

The Study dialog box appears.

  1. Under Study name, type the name of the study.

  2. Under Type, select Optimization.

  3. Click .

Optimization studies use the mesh of the associated studies.

To set the properties of an optimization study:

  1. Right-click the optimization study icon and select Properties.

The Optimization dialog box appears.

  1. On the Options tab, set the Quality to High or Standard. The standard setting uses a smaller number of experiments.

  2. In Results folder, specify a folder.

  3. Click OK.
