The List Thermal dialog box allows you to list the results of the active thermal study.
Active Study. Lists the active study.
Time Step No. Sets the time step at which results are to be listed. Use 1 for steady state thermal analysis.
Units. Sets the units to be used in listing.
Selected reference geometry. Lists the selected reference entity with respect to which the selected thermal component is to be listed.
List Options. Sets the listing options.
Extremes. Check this option to search for extreme values.
Criterion. Sets the criterion for extreme results.
Sort by value. If checked, activates the sorting of the list.
List values within. Sets the range of values to be listed. The default is to list values within 5% tolerance of the extreme value.
From..to... Check this button to specify the desired range of nodes to be searched. Use this option to list values sequentially with node numbers. Enter the lowest and the highest node element numbers.
Component. Sets the thermal component to be searched for extreme values. Available only if Extremes is selected under List Options. The following are the thermal components available for listing:
TEMP: Nodal temperature.
GRADX: Temperature gradient in the X-direction of the selected reference geometry.
GRADY: Temperature gradient in the Y-direction of the selected reference geometry.
GRADZ: Temperature gradient in the Z-direction of the selected reference geometry.
GRADN: Resultant temperature gradient.
HFLUXX: Heat flux in the X-direction of the selected reference geometry.
HFLUXY: Heat flux in the Y-direction of the selected reference geometry.
HFLUXZ: Heat flux in the Z-direction of the selected reference geometry.
HFLUXN: Resultant heat flux.
List set. Lists temperatures and gradients or heat fluxes. Available only if From is selected under List Options.
To list a thermal component with respect to a selected reference geometry:
If needed, create the reference entity you want to use to list the desired thermal component.
Thermal components that are
reference coordinate dependent are temperature gradients (excluding the
resultant temperature gradient) and heat fluxes (excluding the resultant
heat flux).
In the FeatureManager design tree, select the reference geometry you created in step 1.
Click COSMOSWorks, List Results, Thermal.
The List Thermal dialog box opens.
Make sure that the reference
entity you selected appears in the Selected
reference geometry box.
Set the rest of the list options and click OK.
The List Results dialog box opens and a list of the selected thermal component appears. You can change the display units of the thermal quantity by selecting the desired units from the Units menu.
Click Save.
The Save As dialog box opens. You can save the list to an Excel file (*.csv) or as a plain text file (*.txt).
Click Close.
