The List Displacement dialog box allows you to list the desired displacement component for the active static study or mode shapes for the active frequency or buckling studies.
Active study. Displays the name of the active study.
Units. Sets the units to be used in listing.
Mode no. Specify the mode no at which you want to list the displacement. Available only for frequency and buckling studies.
Step no. Specify the solution step number at which you want to list the displacement. Available only for nonlinear and drop test studies.
Selected reference geometry: Lists the selected reference entity with respect to which the displacement is to be listed.
List Options. Sets the listing options.
Extremes. Check this option to search for extreme values.
Criterion. Sets the criterion for extreme results. Available list options are: Absolute Max, Algebraic Max, and Algebraic Min.
Sort by value. If checked, activates the sorting of the list.
List all values within. Sets the range of values to be listed. The default is to list values within 5% tolerance of the extreme value.
From ..to... Check this box to specify a range of nodes to be listed. Use this option to list values sequentially with node numbers.
Component. Select a component to list. Available only if Extremes is selected under List Options. Available displacement components are:
UX: Displacement in the X-direction of the selected reference coordinate system.
UY: Displacement in the Y-direction of the selected reference coordinate system.
UZ: Displacement in the Z-direction of the selected reference coordinate system.
URES: Resultant displacement.
RFX: Reaction force in the X-direction of the selected reference coordinate system.
RFY: Reaction force in the Y-direction of the selected reference coordinate system.
RFZ: Reaction force in the Z-direction of the selected reference coordinate system.
RFRES: Resultant reaction force.
RFX, RFY, RFZ, and RFRES
are available only for static studies.
List Set. Sets the displacement component to be listed. Available only if From is selected under List Options.
To list a displacement component with respect to a reference geometry:
If needed, create the reference entity you want to use to list the desired displacement component.
In the FeatureManager design tree, select the reference entity you created in step 1.
Click COSMOSWorks, List Results, Displacement.
The List Displacement dialog box opens.
Make sure that the reference
entity you selected appears in the Selected
reference geometry box.
Set the rest of the list options and click OK.
The List Results dialog box opens and a list of the selected displacement component appears. You can change the display units of the displacement by selecting the desired units from the Units menu.
Click Save.
The Save As dialog box opens. You can save the list to an Excel file (*.csv) or as a plain text file (*.txt).
Click Close.
