Use the Deformed Shape Plot PropertyManager to plot the deformed shape of the model after running a structural (static, frequency, or buckling), nonlinear, or drop test studies.
Plot Type
.
Fringe. Generates a fringe plot. You can control the display of the fringe plot through the Settings PropertyManager.
Mode Shape
. Use the arrows to set
the mode shape number to plot. Available for frequency and buckling studies
only.
Frequency
. Displays the frequency of the mode shape number
you specified in the Mode Shape
box. Available for frequency studies only.
Load Factor
. Displays the load factor
of the mode shape you specified in the Mode
Shape box. Available for buckling studies only.
Plot Step
. Select a solution step to plot the deformed shape. Available
for nonlinear and drop test studies only.
Time
. Displays the time of the solution step number you specified
in the Plot Step box.
Automatic.
Displays the Scale Factor
that the program will use to scale the largest deformation
to 10% of the largest dimension of the smallest box that surrounds the
model.
True scale. Displays the actual deformed shape of the model (Scale Factor is 1.0).
Defined.
Allows you to set your own Scale Factor
. Use a scale factor of 1.0 to plot the actual deformed
shape (without exaggeration). In most cases, a larger scale factor helps
to appreciate the deflection.
Include title text. If checked, type a custom title for the plot.
Associate plot with name view orientation. Allows you to associate a predefined view orientation with the active plot.
