To perform  an optimization analysis:

  1. Create and run all the studies that you want to use as references to the optimization study. You can use static, frequency, buckling, and thermal studies as references. Right-click the top icon in the COSMOS AnalysisManager tree and select Study to access the Study dialog. Define the Properties of the study to set the maximum number of loops.

  2. Right-click the Objective folder and select Define to define the objective of the study.

  3. Right-click the Design Variables folder and select Define to define the Design Variables of the study.

  4. Right-click the Constraints folder and select Define to define the Constraints using the reference studies.

  5. Right-click the study icon and select Run to run the study.  

  6. View the results.
