About Functions

In COSMOSMotion, you can define input functions for forces and motions using built-in functions or by creating your own functions.

The following functions are directly supported by COSMOSMotion:

• Constant

• Step

• Harmonic

• Spline

• Expression

Example.

To define your own function, or to combine multiple combinations of the built-in functions, use the Expression Function option. The Expression Function option provides a built-in Function builder that allows you to easily add step, harmonic or spline functions to the expression. You can access the Function Builder by selecting the button.
