If animations are running slowly on your machine, you can convert them into AVI movies so they run faster.
To create an AVI movie from your animation:
Before exporting, resize the assembly window.
The exported AVI movie is proportional to the size of your assembly window. The larger your assembly window, the larger the size of the movie, both in width and height, and in file size.
Movies with large heights and widths can result in movies with very large file sizes.
Right-click the Motion Model node and then select Export AVI movie or, from the Motion menu, point to Export Results, and then select To AVI Movie.
Select Browse and then navigate to the location where you want to save the movie.
You can enter a new name in File name.
Select Save.
Set the parameters for the exported animation.
Start: Enter a frame number or an animation time to start the exported movie. Select Current to use the current frame or animation time.
End: Enter a frame number or an animation time to end the exported movie. Select Current to use the current frame or animation time.
Step: Enter the number of frames or time between motion capture points. For example, a step of 2 captures the motion of your assembly every two frames. Lower step numbers result in smoother, but larger, exported movies.
Before exporting, you can select Preview to see what your exported movie looks like.
If you want to automatically view the exported movie, select Show Animation after exporting to file.
Select OK.
The mechanism animates through its range of motion as the AVI movie is created.
You can insert the movie file into your word
processing or presentation applications.
