Displaying Result Symbols

COSMOSMotion allows you to display the following result types on the screen:

These symbols are only displayed during animation if Show symbols during animation is checked on the animation settings tab of the options dialog box.

There are global controls for results symbols on the Results tab of the options dialog box. You can choose to show results in rendered or wireframe representation on the screen. Note that rendered symbols do not display if you set the SolidWorks display to wireframe, but results symbols in wireframe do display in both SolidWorks wireframe and rendered modes.

You can adjust the scale factor of the resultant vectors. The default values for the scale factors are calculated based on the bounding box of the assembly and the maximum result of a specific type (that is, they automatically adjust for each model).

There are several display controls available for these results. Individual control of specific objects is available on the object properties dialog box. All objects have size and color values that you can set on the properties tab of the definition dialog box. In addition, vector results have scale factor values that can be set in the definition dialog box. These control the size of the specific object, separate from the global default settings. The effect of these values is:

If the result display is set to rendered mode, result vectors may be completely or partially hidden on the screen by rendered model geometry. In wireframe mode, results vectors are always visible on top of the model display.
