FEA Tab

Allows you to define the load-bearing entity on any entity.

This capability is required to use the Export to FEA feature. FEA applications require that loads calculated by COSMOSMotion be applied over SolidWorks geometry. This tab allows you to define that geometry.

Select a constraint to assign Load Entities

Select an entity whose bearing surfaces you want to define.

Load Bearing Entity on first component

Enter the entities (edges, faces, or vertices) that receive the force applied to the first component by the constraint/force.

Load Bearing Entity on second component

Enter the entities (edges, faces, or vertices) that receive the force applied to the second component by the constraint/force.

Derive Joint Load Entities from Mates

Select to automatically find bearing surfaces on joints created from assembly constraints.

Revert

Causes the entity to revert to the state after the last change or at the start of the edit.
