Every manufacturing project in SolidCAM contains the following data:
Part
The Part defines the general data of the workpiece. This includes the model or drawing name, the home position, tools options, CNC-controller etc...
Geometry
By selecting Edges, Curves, Surfaces or Solids, define WHAT and WHERE you are going to machine. This geometry is associated with the native SolidWorks model.
Job
A Job is a single machining operation in SolidCAM. In the Job Technology, Tool parameters and Strategies are defined, in short HOW you want to machine.
