Use SolidCAM integrated in Autodesk Inventor to generate the NC-code for the prismatic part in this tutorial.
To machine this CAM-Part two operations are used:
Profile Operation - to machine the outer contour of the plate. Start machining of the profile at an offset of 2 mm from the contour. The final finishing cut of 0.2 mm will clean the profile.
Pocket Operation - to remove material in the pocket with an island. The Pocket will be roughed to the remaining offset of 0.2 mm on the profile and will then be finished in the last cut.
