Setting Photon Rendering Options

Location: The Render Manager > Renderer > GI and Caustics

The Render Manager > Globals > mental ray > GI and Caustics

You can activate caustics and global illumination, and control their rendering options from the GI and Caustics tab of the mental ray Render Options property editor.
