You can set any of the following options in the Render Manager to optimize the render of motion blur.
|
Keep in mind that speed optimizations usually sacrifice quality, while quality optimizations usually decrease speed. |
• Reduce the shutter Speed to speed up motion blur calculations.
• Select the Scanline or Rasterizer options to render a faster motion blur than is done with raytracing.
• Use the Motion Blur > Sampling Contrast color sliders to fine-tune the motion blur effect instead of the Rendering > Sampling Contrast. You can achieve good quality with little impact on render performance.
• Depending on your scene, you may find that using the Optimization > BSP Tree Settings improves the render performance of a scene with motion blur.
Try setting the BSP Max Depth parameter to a lower value than the default, for example 28.
• If your scene has a lot of motion blur, you may need to increase the sampling in the Rendering > Aliasing options.
Try a value such as 0, 2 or 0, 3 (Min and Max Levels). However, before you increase these sampling settings, first try adjusting the Motion Blur > Sampling Contrast color sliders.
• Use a third-party 2D motion blur plug-in instead of raytraced or scanline motion blur algorithms. 2D motion blur is handled as an output shader and lens shader and applies the motion blur effect after the image is rendered.
