Launching Distributed Renders with XSI
There are four ways to launch a distributed render:
• Interactively from the XSI interface.
• [xsi|xsibatch] -r from the command line.
• Command line scripting (xsi -script).
• ray3.exe from the command line.
All of these methods allow you to have a verbose output in a command prompt or the script editor, which allows you to “see” what is going on and recognize any point of failure.
The verbose output is not recommended for actual production renders because it slows down the process.
For more information on these rendering methods, see Rendering Methods.
