Getting Scene Version Information

The printver standalone outputs the XSI version used to last save a scene (.scn) file or an exported model (.emdl) file without opening SOFTIMAGE|XSI. XSI Model (.mdl) files are not supported.

Usage

printver [-q] <scene filename>|<exported model filename>

Where <scene filename>|<exported model filename> is the name of the scene file including the .scn extension, or exported model file including the .emdl extension for which you want to the version used to last save the scene or model.

Options

-q Specifies quiet output which prints only the version number with no additional text. The version number is output in the format of Major.Minor.Year.MonthDay. For example, 3.0.2002.0828

Without the -q option, the output is as follows:
This Scene was built with version: 3.0.2002.0828
