To cut objects
You can use the Cut command to remove selected objects from the display and store them in the Windows clipboard.
Help: For further information see Using the Select menu.
Note: Your selection is stored in the clipboard, together with its relationship to the current user coordinate system. If you change the user coordinate system and then paste from the clipboard the selection will be pasted relative to the new system. You can therefore paste the same information to various locations within your structure by repeatedly changing your user coordinate system between consecutive pastes.
Note: You can only store one selection in the clipboard. When you cut or copy another selection, then this will automatically delete your current one.
Note: If you cut elements which are in folders, and then paste them elsewhere in your structure, the pasted copies will also be in the same folders as the originals.
Note: When you are cutting and pasting elements, then you can choose whether or not you want to copy any loads that are applied to that element.
Help: For further information see To set Preferences.
