Disable Default LTSCALE Setting

When this is OFF, the value in the next line is used as the LTSCALE value.  When this is ON, the LTSCALE system variable of the drawing template will be used.

LTSCALE

This is AutoCAD’s LTSCALE system variable that sets the global linetype scale factor.  The smaller the scale, the more repetitions of the pattern are generated per drawing unit. For example, with a setting of 0.5, two repetitions of the pattern in the linetype definition are displayed for each drawing unit.

Flanged Valves Length

The length of valves that have flanges displayed.

Non-Flanged Valves Length

The length of valves that do not have flanges displayed.

Small Non-Flanged Valves Length

The length of valves that are placed using the Small Valves routine.

Grade/Drain/Expansion Joint/Flex Hose/Vortex Breaker etc.

The size of various components from Fittings tab will be the size of the original component multiplied by the scale factor.  This applies to components such as the grade symbol, drains, vortex breakers, and strainers.

Continuation Arrows Scale Factor

The size of the continuation arrows in the drawing will be the size of the original continuation arrow blocks multiplied by the scale factor defined here.  The original blocks can be found in left-arr.dwg, rght-arr.dwg and dual-arr.dwg.

Scale for Conical Strainer / Spec Blinds

This parameter controls the distance between the flange symbols for conical strainers and spectacle blinds.

Concentric and Eccentric Reducers/Nozzles

The length of the concentric and eccentric reducers and nozzles.

Flange / Blind Scale

The distance between the flange and the blind when the Flange+Blind symbol is used.

Control Valve Actuator Scale

The size of the individual actuator placed on a control valve will be the size of the original block multiplied by the scale factor defined in this parameter.

In-Line Tags: Circle/Diamond/Square/Hexagon

The height of all in-line tags.

Arrows Scaling Factor

This scale factor is used in the scaling of the slope and tag symbols.

Flow Arrow Length Scale

The length of the large and small flow arrows in the drawing will be the length of the original flow arrow block multiplied by the scale factor defined in this parameter.  These symbols are found in the sm-arrow*.dwg and lg-arrow*.dwg and have lengths of 0.5” and 0.25” respectively.

Flow Arrow Width Scale

The width of the large and small flow arrows in the drawing will be the length of the original flow arrow block multiplied by the scale factor defined in this parameter.  These symbols are found in the sm-arrow*.dwg and lg-arrow*.dwg and have lengths of 0.25” and 0.125” respectively.

Break Distance for Valve/Flange

The length of the break created when a valve is inserted into the selected line.

Scale Factor for Flange (Set to Valve Scale)

The scale factor that is applied to the flanges that are inserted when the Flange Set command is used from the Miscellaneous Valves.

Scale Factor for Single Flange

This is the scale factor that is applied to the flange that is inserted when the Single Flange command is used from the Miscellaneous Valves.   This symbol is found in 1flg.dwg and has a length of 1”.

Tie-In Weld

The diameter of the Tie-In Weld symbol.

Instrument Balloon Scale

This is the scale of the balloon when any of the Instrument Balloons are placed from the Instrument Balloons and 3 Line Instrument Ballons tabs are used.  The size in the drawing of the balloon is the size of the original block multiplied by scale factor defined in this parameter.  The original size of these blocks is 1”.

Pitot/Turbine/Displacement/Nozzle etc.

The size of the Pitot, Averaging Pitot, Target, Nozzle and other blocks on the Instrument Equipment tab.

Orifice Runs

The height of the orifice run.

Venturi

The length of the venture meter.

Senior Run Line Break Distance

The length of the break created when a Senior Run is inserted into the selected line.

Senior Run Block Scaling

The size of the straightening vanes will the be size of the original block multiplied by this parameter.  The original block may be found in srun*.dwg

I and R Diamonds / Diaphragm Seat

The size of the Interlock and Reset diamonds and the size of the Diaphragm Seal.

Instr.: Line Symbols Scale: // -o- X L etc.

The distance between the symbols on instrument lines will be 0.5” multiplied by the scale factor in this parameter.

V. Area Line Break Distance

The length of the break created when a Variable Area is inserted into the selected line.

V. Area Line Block Scaling

The size of the Variable Area symbol will be the size of the original block multiplied by the scale factor in this parameter.

Straightening Vanes Break Distance

The length of the break created when a straightening vane is inserted into the selected line.

Straightening Vanes Block Scaling

The size of the straightening vanes will be the size of the original block multiplied by this parameter.  The original block may be found in str-vane.dwg

Pump/Exchangers/Cooler/Unit Heater/Fins/Fan/Cylinder

The size of pumps, exchangers, coolers, unit heaters, fin-fans and cylinders will be the size of the original block multiplied by the scale factor defined in this parameter.

Heater / Exhaust Flare / Dike

The size of the heater, exhaust flare and dike will be the size of the original block multiplied by the scale factor defined in this parameter.

Equipment Description Blocks Scale

The size of the Equipment Description will be the size of the original block multiplied by the scale factor in this parameter.  The original block is found in eqpdesc.dwg.

Pig Launcher

The size of the pig launcher will be the size of the original block multiplied by the scale factor in this parameter.  The original block is found in pig-l-r.dwg.

Eductor / Horn

The length of the eductor/ejector and horn will be the length of the original block multiplied by the scale factor entered in this parameter.  The original blocks are found in educt.dwg and horn.dwg and have lengths of 1” and 1/2” respectively.

Dampers

The size of the louvers will be the size of the original block multiplied by the scale factor defined in this parameter.
