Deleting an Item from the Material Field Options

You can delete an item from the Material Fields options. When you delete an item it is no longer available for inclusion in any spec.

Warning: Deleting material field options may seriously affect your drawing files. Never delete an option unless you are aware of all possible implications.

Critical: You cannot undo any deletion.

To delete a component from the material field options...

1. In the Edit menu, click Modify Material Options. The Modify Material Options window appears.

2. From the Component list, select the component group you want to work with. All data for the selected group appears in the item lists.

3. Click the option you want to delete.  The Delete button for the list becomes active.
   

4. Click Delete to remove the option(s) from the list.

Ø Note: You can only delete from one item at a time.

5. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for every option you want to delete.

6. Click OK to close the Modify Material Options dialog.

Ø Note: All modifications are saved to the database at the time they are made. You cannot undo a delete action.
