Vessel Insulation

Use this procedure to insert insulation for vertical and horizontal vessels.

To insert vessel insulation…

1.   From the Equipment tab, select Vessel Insulation.

The cursor changes to a square.

2.   In the drawing, click to select the insulation’s center point on the outline of the vessel.

3.   Click to select the outline on the other side of the vessel.

The Vessel Insulation dialog box appears.

4.   In this dialog box, do one of the following:

• In the input box, type the insulation’s half width value and click OK

• Click Digitize and click in the drawing to set the half width distance value

The Vessel Insulation thickness dialog box appears.

5.   In the input box, type the insulation thickness.

6.   Click OK.

The vessel insulation appears in the drawing.

The insulation thickness text appears in the center of the insulation symbol.
