AutoORTHO lets you insert three types of vessel heads:
Hemispherical Head
Dished Head
2:1 Semi-Elliptical Head
When you insert vessel heads, select the insertion points in a clockwise direction. If the vessel head appears in the incorrect orientation, delete the head and insert it again, selecting the points in the opposite direction.
AutoORTHO does not include straight flange distance when inserting vessel heads. 2:1 semi-elliptical and dished heads require this information.
1. From the Equipment tab, select the required vessel head.
AutoORTHO activates the ENDPOINT object snap.
2. In the drawing, click where you want to insert the first corner of the vessel head.
If you click a line, the line’s endpoint becomes the first insertion point
If you do not click a line, the click point becomes the insertion point
3. Click to select the head’s second insertion point. This point defines the vessel’s head size.
The vessel head appears in the drawing.
Ø Note: A dialog box will inform you that straight flange distance is not included when inserting this block. This distance is required for 2:1 semi-elliptical and dished heads.
