Valve Tags

AutoORTHO extracts valve tag information from the valve’s INFO block.

To insert a valve tag…

1.   From the Utilities tab, select Valve Tag.

2.   In the drawing, click where you want to insert the valve tag text. The point you select becomes the tag’s center point.

3.   Click to set the tag’s direction.

The Valve Tag dialog box appears.

4.   In this dialog box, do one of the following:

• In the Tag Text box, type the required text and click OK

• Click Select Block to extract valve tag data from an existing INFO block

If you click Select Block, the cursor changes to a square.

5.   In the drawing, click the INFO block of the valve.

6.   Press Enter.

The valve tag appears in the drawing.

Ø      Note: If the valve’s INFO block does not contain valve tag information, the Valve Tag dialog box appears.
