Using the Digitize Buttons

In some dialog boxes, a Digitize  button appears next to an input box. ‘Digitize’ means using your mouse to manually select points in the drawing.

For example, the Rectangle dialog box contains both input boxes and Digitize buttons.

If you click Digitize beside any input box, the dialog box temporarily disappears, and command line messages prompt you to select points within the drawing.

After you click the required point(s), the dialog box returns, and the points you selected appear as values in the input boxes.

When all input boxes contain values, click the Draw Rectangle button. The rectangle appears in the drawing
