Inserting a Steel Break Symbol

To break a steel member…

1.   From the Structural Steel tab, select Steel Break.

2.   In the drawing, click the steel member where you want to insert the first break symbol.

3.   Click the opposite side of the steel member.

4.   Click where you want to insert the second break symbol.

The break symbols appear in the drawing.

5.   Use AutoCAD’s TRIM function if necessary. Disable Object Grouping first.
