When the valve stem toggle is active, a dialog box prompts you to insert an actuator when you insert the control valve.
If you are inserting an actuator at the same time you insert the control valve, start at Step 3
If you are manually inserting an actuator, start at Step 1
1. From the Valves tab, select Control
Valve Actuator.

2. In the drawing, click the center point of the control valve.
The Actuator Orientation dialog box appears.
3. From the options, select the required orientation.
Click Plan to insert the actuator in plan view
Click Side to insert the actuator in elevation view
Click Rotated to insert the actuator with a user-defined angle
4. Click OK.
5. Select from the following options:
If you clicked Plan, go to Step 8
If you clicked Side or Rotated, click in the drawing to select the stem direction
The Actuator Length dialog box appears.
6. In the input box, type a value for the actuator length.
7. Click OK.
The Actuator diameter dialog box appears.
8. For all actuators, type the actuator diameter value in the input box.
9. Click OK.
If you clicked Plan or Side, the actuator now appears in the drawing
10. If you clicked Rotated, the Actuator Rotation dialog box appears.
11. On this dialog box, do one of the following:
Select a rotation value from the options
Type the rotation angle in the input box
12. Click OK.
The rotated actuator appears in the drawing.
