Use this procedure to insert valve stems manually if you did not insert a valve stem at the same time you inserted the valve.

AutoORTHO inserts gate and angle valves with a rising stem and globe valves with a non-rising stem.

To insert a valve stem manually…

1.   From the Valves tab, select Valve Stem.

The Valve Stem Main Pipe Size dialog box appears.

2.   In this dialog box, do the following:

3.   Click OK.

The Select Rating for Valve Stem dialog box appears.

4.   From the list, select the required rating.

5.   Click OK.

The Valve Stem dialog box appears.

6.   From the Add Valve Stem options, click Yes.

7.   From the Stem Orientation options, select the required orientation setting.

8.   Click OK.

9.   In the drawing, click the valve's center point.

If you clicked Plan, the valve stem appears in the drawing.

10. If you clicked Side or Rotated, click in the drawing to select the stem direction.

The side view valve stem appears in the drawing.

If you clicked Rotated, the Valve Stem Rotation dialog box appears.

11. In the input box, type the rotation value.

12. Click OK.

The rotated valve stem appears in the drawing.
