Inserting Stairs in Plan View

1. From the Civil Drafting tab, select Stairs.

The Stairs dialog box appears.

2. Under Orientation, select Plan View.

3. Click OK.

4. In the drawing, click where you want to insert the stairs. Stairs must be attached to another drawing object.

5. Click to select the stair side.

The Stairs width and vertical distance dialog box appears.

6. In this dialog box, do the following:

In this…	Do this…
Width of Stairs input box	Accept the default value, or type a new value, or click Digitize and click in the drawing to set the stair width
Vertical Distance Between Levels input box	Type a distance value, or click Digitize and click in the drawing to set the vertical distance

7. Click Draw Stairs.

The stairs appear in the drawing.

The Stairs Data Used in Calculations notification box appears.

8. Click OK.
