To draw doors in elevation view, first draw a building floor line.
1. From the Civil Drafting tab, select Door.

The Door dialog box appears.

2. From the Orientation options, select Elevation.
3. From the Door Type options, select Single or Double.
4. Click Draw Door.
The AutoORTHO Message box appears, instructing you to pick the outside corner of the building. Click OK.
5. In the drawing, click the outside corner of the building closest to where you want to insert the door.
For single doors, the Door-Distance to Hinge End dialog box appears.
For double doors, the Door-Distance to Center of Doors dialog box appears.
6. In the Door dialog box, do one of the following:
Type the distance from the corner of the building to the door hinge (or center of doors) and click OK
Click Digitize and click in the drawing to set the distance value
7. In the drawing, click the floor line.
The Door-Width and Height dialog box appears.
8. In the Door dialog box, do one of the following:
Accept the default door width and height
Type new width and height values
9. Click OK.
The door appears in the drawing.
