There are two procedures in this section:
§ Inserting a strainer with a valve
§ Inserting y-strainers, t-strainers, conical strainers and clean outs
1. From the Fittings tab, select Strainer with Valve.

If the current pipe size is in the butt weld range, the Vents/Drains dialog box appears.

2. From the scroll list, select a pipe size in the small fittings range.
3. Click OK.
4. In the drawing, click where you want to insert the strainer.
The strainer appears in the drawing.
The Strainer dialog box appears.

5. Under Valve Direction, select one of the following options:
Click OK to insert the strainer in the current direction
Click Reverse to reverse the strainer direction
6. Click the OK button.
The strainer appears in the direction selected above.
1. From the Fittings tab, select Y-Strainer, T-Strainer,
Conical Strainer or Clean
Out.

2. In the drawing, click the line where you want to insert the strainer or clean out.
The fitting appears in the drawing.
If you are inserting a y-strainer, conical strainer or clean out, the Equipment/Instruments dialog box appears.

3. Under Fitting Direction, select one of the following options:
Click OK to insert the fitting in the current direction
Click Reverse to reverse the fitting direction
4. Click the OK button.
The fitting appears in the direction selected above.
