Use this procedure to insert regulators with or without flanges.
Regulators do not contain attributes. Set the instrument number for the regulator by inserting an instrument balloon (see Inserting Instrument Balloons). AutoFLOW uses instrument balloon information when listing drawing instruments.
1. From the Valves
tab, select Regulator.

The Regulator-Valve Appearance dialog box appears.

2. Under Valve Appearance, select one of the following options:
Click Place Flanged Valve to insert valves with flanges
Click Place Valve without Flanges to insert plain valves
3. Click OK.
The cursor changes to a square.
4. In the drawing, click on the line where you want to insert the regulator.
The regulator appears in the drawing.
The Valve-Direction dialog box appears.

5. Under Valve Direction, select one of the following options:
Click OK to insert the valve in the current direction
Click Reverse to reverse the valve direction
6. Click the OK button.
The regulator appears in the direction selected above.
Ø Notes: AutoFLOW always inserts regulators with the actuator pointing up or to the left. If you want the actuator to point down or to the right, then use AutoCAD’s mirror or rotate tools to change the valve orientation.
