Inserting Windows in Elevation View

To insert windows in elevation view, first draw a building floor line.

To insert windows in elevation view…

  1. From the Civil tab, select Building Window.


The Window dialog box appears.

  1. Under Orientation, click Elevation.

  2. Under Window Type, select one of the following:

  1. Click OK.

  2. In the drawing, click the outside corner of the building closest to where you want to insert the window.

For single windows, the Window-Distance to Center of Window dialog box appears.

For double windows, the Window-Distance to Center of Double Windows dialog box appears.

  1. In the Window dialog box, do one of the following:

The AutoELECTRIC Settings notification box appears.

  1. Click OK.

  2. In the drawing, click the building floor outline.

The Window-Height and Width dialog box appears.

Height from Floor to Window Sill input box

Accept the default value, or type a new value, or click Digitize and click in the drawing to set the distance

Width of Window input box

Type the width of the window, or click Digitize and click in the drawing to set the width

Height of Window input box

Type the height of the window from the sill to the top of the window, or click Digitize and click in the drawing to set the height

  1. Click OK.

The window appears in the drawing.
