To insert doors in plan view, first insert a building outline (see Building Outline) or draw lines to represent inner and outer walls.
From the Civil tab, select Building Door.

The Door dialog box appears.

From the Orientation options, select Plan View.
From the Door Type options, select Single or Double.
Click OK.
In the drawing, click the outside corner of the building closest to where you want to insert the door.
For single doors, the Door-Distance to Hinge End dialog box appears.
For double doors, the Door-Distance to Center of Doors dialog box appears.
In the Door dialog box, do one of the following:
Type the distance from the corner of the building to the door hinge (or center of doors) and click OK
Click Digitize and click in the drawing to set the distance value
The AutoELECTRIC Settings notification box appears.

Click OK.
In the drawing, click the outside outline of the building.
Click the inside outline of the building.
For single doors, the Door-Width dialog box appears
For double doors, the Door-Width of Both Doors dialog box appears
In the Door dialog box, do one of the following:
Accept the default door width
Type a new door width value
Click OK.
The door appears in the drawing.
