Spec Properties Tab

Use this dialog box tab to perform any of these functions:

§ edit the specification name or description

§ assign a different color to the specification

§ assign or add new materials to the specification

§ show or hide the spec

1. In the Specification Explorer, double-click the specification.

The Spec properties dialog box appears.

2. Click the Spec properties tab.

You can also access this dialog box using the Create spec wizard.

In this field...	Enter/Do this...
Spec ID	Nothing - this is view-only field.
Spec input box	Type a name for the current specification.
Hidden check box	Click to hide the spec; leave blank to make the spec visible to users.
Description input box	Type a description of the current specification.
Menu button	Click to access a menu that contains commands for adding or removing materials list items.
Material list	Click list items to include these materials in the specification.
Color selection	Click to access the color scheme selection box where you can select a scheme and color for the material.
OK	Click to save changes to the database and close the dialog box.
Cancel	Click to close the dialog box without saving changes.
Apply	Click to save changes to the database without closing the dialog box.
