diting a Set of Materials

You can edit a set of materials by:

• adding items to the set list

• removing items form the set list

• changing the name of the set

To edit a set of materials...

1.   From the Tools menu, select Manage materials.
Alternately, right-click any component type or group in the Component Explorer tree and then select Manage materials from the pop-up menu.

The Materials editor dialog box appears.

Ø  Tip: If you access the Materials editor using the Tools menu you can work with materials sets for all design libraries. If you access by right-clicking on a component type or group, you can only work with materials sets for the design library open in Component Explorer.

2.   Click the Sets of materials tab.

3.   Ensure you are working with the correct design system.

4.   In the In the Set of materials group, use the drop down list of material sets to select the set you want to edit.

5.   Do one of the following:

• To add items, click selection(s) in the Materials available list, then click the Add>> button. The items appear in the Materials selected list.

• To delete items, click selection(s) in the Materials selected list, then click the <<Remove button. The items are deleted from the Materials selected list.

•  To edit the set name, click the Edit button. The Edit set of materials dialog box appears where you can change the name for the set.

6.   Do one of the following:

• Click OK to apply changes to the database and close the dialog box.

• Click Apply to apply changes to the database without closing the dialog box.

• Click Cancel to exit the dialog box without making any changes to the database.

7.   Repeat steps 4 to 6 for each additional set you want to create.
