Stretching Linear Components

Use this procedure to select and stretch a single linear component. In this application, Stretch lets you lengthen or shorten the linear component.

You can only stretch one item at a time.

To stretch a piece of pipe...

1.   From the Toolbox Changes tab, select Stretch.

The cursor changes to a square.

Select linear component to stretch appears in the command line.

2.   In the design, click the linear component you want to stretch.

Select first point of displacement appears in the command line.

3.   Click the connection point of the component where you want to stretch it.

Select second point of displacement appears in the command line.

4.   Click the destination point for the stretched linear component.

The component stretches to the selected point.
