• Edit >> Clipboard command provide direct interface between rapidform and SolidWorks

• Edit >> Clipboard command support translational, rotational and multiple copy of entity in rapidform

Register Clipboard Add-in in SolidWorks

        Execute Edit >> Clipboard command as follows:

        1. In rapidform, run Macro >> Register AddIn menu and open SWCIF.dll file in the ~\rapidform2006\Addin directory

        2. In Solidworks, Select Tool >> Add-Ins... commend and then Check SWCBIF item.

        3. You can use clipboard with Edit >> rapidform Clipboard commend.

To Copy Entity in rapidform

Execute Edit >> Clipboard command as follows:

1. Select Edit >> Clipboard command from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Edit toolbar.

2. Select entity type first and click Select Entities to Copy button. According to the message, select entity you want to copy

 after selection, Select Done On RMB menu

3. In case of Sketch Profiles,  Pick Ref.Plane and Curve in order.

   Copied Ref.Plane can be pasted as sketch plane and curves as sketch entity in SolidWoks.

 

 

To Paste In rapidform

1. Select entity in item list and click Paste button and then command will Paste selected item to rapidform's workspace

• With Select All button you can select all entity in item list.
• Refresh button will update list or synchronize item list with SolidWorks.
• Clear All button will remove item in item list and initialize clipboard

To Copy In SolidWorks

Execute Universal command as follows:

1. Select rapidform Interface command from the Edit menu.

  To execute command, new or existed Part document must be opened in SolidWorks

2. Select Curves or Surfaces first as entity type and curves or surface in workspace of SolidWorks. then click Copy button to copy entity to clipboard

 

To Paste In SolidWorks

1. Select Curves or Surfaces in item list and click Paste button and then command will Paste select item to rapidform

• With Select All button you can select all entity in item list.
• Refresh button will update list or synchronize item list with rapidform.
• Clear All button will remove item in item list and initialize clipboard

Options In rapidform

1. Create a New Layer on Pasting Entities : Pasted Curves or Surfaces  are registered in new layer with this option.

2. Bind to Shell on Pasting Entities : With This option. pasted item will inherit property of shell attachment.

3. Paste by Mirroring : On paste, you can mirror selected item with this option. with Pick Ref.Plane button, mirroring plane can be assigned.

4. Past Multiple Times : If this option is checked, you can array selected item with global or local coordinate which can be assigned by user

- Multiplicity : If value assigned, rapidform will paste multiple copy of selected item.

- Coordinate : for Translational, rotational offset, you can assign coordinate for offset. check Global Coordinate System for assign global coordinate

                            or Local Coordinate system for local coordinate by assign using Pick Ref.Coord button.

- Transform Offset : you can assign translational step or total translation amount and axis for multi copy.

- Rotational Offset : you can assign rotational step or total rotation amount and axis for multi copy.
