Transfer
1.
Preset
Transfer Function
This
applies the predefined transfer functions to a volume. When a user selects Color
Transfer Function, he/she can see the distribution using the color bar.
When a user selects Opacity Transfer Function, he/she can see the
shape of the profile by each name.
(e.g. : ramp to 1)
Transfer
Function: It is a profile corresponding to the specific color or opacity on
the specific scalar value, which a model has in volume rendering.
Select
the wanted transfer function in the list box and press the Apply
button.
Color:
Rainbow, Gray, White: It
applies preset color profile to a volume.
Scalar
Opacity: It applies the
preset opacity to a volume.
(Note)
Functions named ˇ°ramp to 1.0ˇ± or ˇ®ramp to 0.2ˇ± apply ˇ°0ˇ± to the
minimum scalar value and ˇ°1.0(0.2) to the maximum scalar value using a simple
function such as opacity profile.
2.
Scalar
Color Editor
This
is a controller to change the value of a color which is rendered corresponding
to the value of each scalar value of a volume.
It
consists of three color pickers, the left controls the value of RGB (Red, Green
and Blue), the middle HSV(Hue, Saturation, Value) and the right Brightness. These values can also be modified using the GUI or Edit
controller.
3.
Transfer
Function Editor
A
user can change the color and opacity of the opened volume controlling color
bar.
The
horizontal color bar expresses the change in colors of the corresponding
scalar value from minimum to maximum value of a volume. Six vertical slider
controllers express the individual opacity of the six parts of the entire scalar
field of a volume. The above little squares represent the colors of specific
part. The check box in the below displays the position where the value is
applied when a user changes the existing color. A user can change the color
of the corresponding scalar value on a specific part by selecting the ˇ°check
boxˇ± on that specific part and change the value in the scalar color editor.
Similarly, when a user wants to control the opacity of a certain part, he/she has to select and control the slider bar on
that part.
4.
Linear
transfer Function Mode
This
mode can change each end value from 0 to 1 respective to the entire Opacity
Transfer Function as a profile, which changes it linearly.
When
a user selects the ˇ°check boxˇ±, six slider bar changes, keeping its linear
profile. Only each end slider can be changed in this mode.
5.
Interactive Apply
This
decides whether or not the changed value from Transfer Function Editor reflects
on rendered view in real time.
On
and Off mode can be selected by selecting the ˇ°check boxˇ±.
6.
Locking
It
preserves the value of Transfer Function and prevents the Editor from receiving
any input.
On
and Off mode could be selected by selecting the ˇ°check boxˇ±.
7.
RGB/HSV
It
changes the mode from RGB or HSV within the Color Transfer
Function.
The
mode can be selected using the radio button next to the color bar.
