Surface >> Create >> From Ref. Geometry >> Plane

• Surface >> Create >> From Ref. Geometry >> Plane command converts a reference plane to a NURBS surface.

Step   

Execute Surface >> Create >> From Ref. Geometry >> Plane command as follows:

1. Select Surface >> Create >> From Ref. Geometry >> Plane from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Surface1 toolbar.

2. Pick a reference plane to convert to a surface. The following dialog box appears:

3. Key in U Size and V Size. If viewpoint change is required, select Pause on the right mouse popup menu.

After changing the viewpoint, select Pause again to return to the selection mode.

 

Result

• A new surface appears in the shape of quad mesh. It is added to Surfaces node in the project tree window and the current layer in the layer window.

• The shape of the generated surface can be effectively checked with the rendering function. ( See Surface >> Property >> Render )
