Surface >> Create >> Loft

• Surface >> Create >> Loft command creates a loft surface smoothly connecting selected curves.

Step   

Execute Surface >> Create >> Loft  command as follows:

1. Select Surface >> Create >> Loft  from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Surface1 toolbar.

2. Select all the curves to be connected with a loft surface by dragging mouse with the left button pressed. RapidForm automatically rearrange the order of curves when it applies the Loft operation.

3. Push Done on the right mouse popup menu.

4. The following dialog appears.

Create Closed Surface makes closed surface with G1 continuity.

Make Curves Compatible duplicates knots of selected curves so numbers and values of knots are all equal. 

Do Not Approximate uses the knots regenerated by Make Curves Compatible option without sampling.

Resample Curves samples control points of curves to a given number.

Refit Curves samples control points of curves by using the given tolerance that represents projection error distance of each control points.

Approximate Surface rebuilds surface with given tolerance. 

5. Press OK to complete this operation.

Result　

• A new surface appears and it is added to Surfaces node in the project tree window and the current layer in the layer window.

• The shape of the generated surface can be effectively checked with the rendering function. ( See Surface >> Property >> Render )
