Surface >> Create >> Auto Surfacing

Step

Execute Surface >> Create >> Auto Surfacing command as follows:
1. Select Surface >> Create >> Auto Surfacing from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Surface1 toolbar.
2. Pick a target shell to be converted to surfaces automatically.
3. Pick a reference shell to be used for patch layout. If there is no reference shell, pick the target shell once again.
4. The following dialog box appears.

No. of Surfaces option controls the total number of surfaces created.
No. of Control Points / Surface determines the number of control points along U-direction and V-direction per surface. These two numbers are always the same.
Fitting Accuracy option controls the quality of interior region of the surface to be generated.
Geometry Capture Accuracy option controls the degree of resemblance of the created surface with the original model of reconstructed model.
Relax Initial Mesh option generates relatively uniform surfaces.
Match Surfaces Globally option matches all created surfaces after creation.
Remove Sharp Surfaces option removes the sharp surfaces.
Check Modify Patch Network option to edit the patch boundaries before creating surfaces.
Use Imported Patch Network is enabled if Modify Patch Network is checked. Once it is checked, all the options above it will be disabled. And then if you click ... button, the following dialog box appears:

Navigate to the file that stores the patch network you want to use, and then click Open button. You can create a patch network file using the Export button mentioned below.
5. Click OK, if Modify Patch Network is checked, the following dialog box appears.

Rotate Edge rotates an edge if its two vertices are selected.
Rotate Vertex rotates edges around a selected vertex.
Merge Edges merges edges connected to a vertex on the boundary if that vertex and another vertex on the opposite side of boundary are selected.
Subdivide Vetex Star adds four vertices around a selected vertex.
Merge Vertex merges two selected diagonal vertices and removes the patch between them.
Split Vertex adds a patch to the second selected vertex among three selected vertices on two connected edges.
Insert Vertex adds a vertex between two selected diagonal vertices.
Remove Vertex removes a selected vertex.
Move Vertex allows you to move a vertex and its connecting edges.
Edit Edge Curve allows you to deform an edge by dragging.
Edit Edge Curve Range allows you to define the range of edge boundary to be deformed.
Click Relax Patch Boundary on the RMB menu to relax the patch boundaries.
Export allows you to save the patch network in a .pat file.
Import allows you to import a pre-stored patch network.
6. Press OK to complete this operation.
