Ref. Geometry  >> Create >> Plane >> Input Normal & Position

• Ref. Geometry >> Create >> Plane >> Input Normal & Position command adds reference planes which are made from a user-specified normal vector and position.

Step   

Execute Ref. Geometry >> Create >> Plane >> Input Normal & Position command as follows:

1. Select Ref. Geometry >> Create >> Plane >> Input Normal & Position from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Reference toolbar.

2. The following dialog box appears.

3. Input X, Y, Z coordinates of the normal vector and a position on the plane to Normal, Position fields, respectively, then press Add button.

If a user selects Use Local Coordinate option, the following message appears.

If a user selects a coordinate after pressing OK button, the input normal vector and position coordinate are based on the selected coordinate. If he/she clicks Add button without selecting any coordinate, the following message appears.

4. Press Close button to close the dialog box and quit this command.

Note  

• Until Close button is clicked, a user can add reference planes continuously by pressing Add button and change the view with virtual trackball.
