• There is no icon for Tool >> Work Volume >> Align >> Min. Height command.

• Tool >> Work Volume >> Align  >> Min. Height command positions a shell so that it has minimum height along the build-up direction.

• This function enables a user to find an optimal build-up direction which consumes minimum build time. Generally, if a part is positioned with height lowered, the total build time can be effectively reduced.

Step   

Execute Tool >> Work Volume >> Align  >> Min. Height command as follows:

1. Select Tool >> Work Volume >> Align  >> Min. Height from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the RP toolbar.

2. Select a shell to align. ( See Shell selection )

 

Result

• The selected shell is translated and rotated so that it is properly positioned with the minimum height in the direction of z axis.
