Tool >> Engrave >> Engrave Image 

 

Step   

Execute Tool >> Engrave >> Engrave Image command as follows:
1. Select Tool >> Engrave >> Engrave Image from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the polygon Tool2 toolbar.
2. Select a surface, the following popup menu appears.

3. Click the button in the right side of the File Name box in order to open a 2D image.
4. Click Rotate and Flip button to adjust the image orientation and move the slide bars of U-Scale and V-Scale to scale the image.
    Max. Height is the height of the black bounding box in the positive normal direction of the surface. A positive value raises the image on the polygon.
    Min. Height is the height of the white bounding box in the negative normal direction of the surface. A negative value engraves the image on the polygon.
5. Click the Blending Curve button to adjust the height balance of the gray image. Drag control points on the curve to adjust it

On the dialog box, the horizontal axis of the graph represents the color of gray image; the vertical axis represents the user-defined height of image to be engraved or embossed.
Click the Load button to load a saved blending curve graph.
Click the Save button to save the current blending curve graph.
Click the Reset button to return to the initial blending curve graph.
Tessellation option is used for the degree of triangulation quality in case that Make Individual Shell is checked.
Engrave Image on the Attached Shell option, selected by default,  is used for creating a merged shell engraved the image on the original polygon.
Make Individual Shell option is used for creating a new shell resembled the image, in case the selected surface is not attached to the polygon.
Smooth option makes a engraved shell smooth after engraving.
6. Click Preview button to check the vertices to be generated from the image.
7. Click OK to complete the engraving.
